How do i get involved?
The qualification
The Intermediate stage is the starting point for most candidates. The emphasis is on transactions-oriented knowledge and the application of those skills.

Content

This stage focuses on the following five main areas of corporate finance practice.

  • professional foundations of corporate finance
  • financial statement analysis
  • changes in control
  • valuation
  • raising debt and equity

Experience level

  • typically, one to three years' experience. Managers and those with management potential. UK candidates must have completed the Certificate or be exempt (see exempt categories).

Assessment

  • one examination, based around a case study that will encompass all five key competency areas listed above

Study commitment

  • up to 200 hours, equally divided between intensive classroom tuition and self study.

A set of learning materials has been specially developed for this stage. They are designed to ensure that you are successful in the assessment and to serve as a valuable reference tool at work. The materials comprehensively cover all the elements of this stage of the qualification.
