The qualification
The CF qualification is offered in the following stages: Introductory Certificate (excluding Americas), Intermediate - Diploma and Advanced - Advanced Diploma.

Completion of each stage is a pre-requisite for entering into the next. Once you have successfully completed the stages and gained the required amount of work experience, you will be awarded the prestigious CF qualification and become entitled to use the letters CF after your name.

Entry Standards

If you practise or intend to practise in the UK, the certificate is your entry point as it underpins mandatory FSA Approved Person status. There are exemptions from the certificate requirement.

If you are based in the Americas, you will enter the CF qualification at the Intermediate stage. Non-CAs should preferably have one to three years of post-university business experience and be working in the corporate finance field.
