Diploma/Intermediate Stage exam
The exam is a four-hour paper, based around an international case study which covers the technical skills and analysis covered throughout the learning process.
The same exam paper is taken in all regions. It is marked centrally by an international team of examiners, administered jointly by the ICAEW and the CICA.
Advanced Diploma/Stage exam
The exam is a four-hour paper, based around a high level case study that will focus on strategic decision making and deal structuring processes. The same exam paper is taken in all regions. It is marked centrally by an international team of examiners, administered jointly by the ICAEW and the CICA.
The case study will be pre-released in advance for the purpose of comprehensive analysis and financial modelling.
The examination will simulate a real-life corporate finance transaction and students will have to react to a previously unseen deal scenario based on new information.

Europe and the Middle East
Students in Europe and the Middle East will need to download the Exam entry application form (PDF 174kb/3 pages).
North America
Students in North America who have registered for the CICA CF Education Program will be automatically entered for their exams and do not need to complete the Exam entry application form.
